Things to Do in Tampa: The Tampa Riverwalk.

by Nicolas A Scaron PLLC

If you're spending time in downtown Tampa, the Riverwalk is worth building into your plans. It's a 2.6-mile waterfront path connecting a lot of the city's best spots along the Hillsborough River.

You can start at the Tampa Museum of Art or the Glazer Children's Museum, then walk the river and stop at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, good for a picnic or catching one of the events that happen there throughout the year.

There's no shortage of food along the way either, from casual bites to something more upscale, including Armature Works, a food hall with a good variety of eateries. If you want to see it from a different angle, you can rent a bike or take a water taxi.

It's especially nice at night, when the pathway lights up along with the city skyline. Good for exercise, a date, or just spending an afternoon outside.
